FLAC LPC (Linear Predictive Coding) और Rice कोडिंग से lossless कम्प्रेशन करता है। 1-8 चैनल, 1-655,350 Hz सैंपल रेट और 4-32 बिट डेप्थ सपोर्ट है। Vorbis Comment मेटाडेटा और एम्बेडेड कवर आर्ट सपोर्ट है।
इतिहास
Josh Coalson ने 2001 में FLAC बनाया। यह तेज़ी से ओपन-सोर्स lossless ऑडियो का मानक बना। Xiph.Org Foundation द्वारा मेंटेन, यह अब Spotify, Amazon Music और Tidal जैसी सेवाओं में भी उपलब्ध है।
