MKV (Container Video Matroska)

MKV là container đa phương tiện mã nguồn mở hỗ trợ hầu như mọi codec video, âm thanh và phụ đề trong một tệp. Nó phổ biến cho phim HD, anime và nội dung lưu trữ.

Khi nào nên dùng .MKV

Sử dụng MKV cho video nhiều track âm thanh/phụ đề, lưu trữ phim HD, anime fansub và bất kỳ ngữ cảnh nào cần tính linh hoạt tối đa của container.

Chi tiết kỹ thuật

MKV sử dụng EBML (Extensible Binary Meta Language) — XML nhị phân cho container. Nó hỗ trợ nhiều track video/âm thanh/phụ đề, chương, thẻ, phần đính kèm và đánh dấu thời gian ordered/linked. WebM là tập con của MKV.

Lịch sử

Lasse Kärkkäinen và Steve Lhomme tạo Matroska vào năm 2002 như container đa phương tiện mã nguồn mở. Cái tên lấy cảm hứng từ búp bê Matryoshka của Nga (container trong container).
